Day 1&2, off to New York!

Hi everyone! So I didn’t make a big post or anything about it, but I am currently abroad! I left Thursday night, and am going to be traveling through Europe for the next 21 days! And while I am doing that, I will be writing about my experiences here! ❤

So, Day 1….

We left for New York Thursday night and arrived about 5am, and we didn’t leave again till 5pm  that night so we checked our bags and went into the city! Which was very exciting for me because I haven’t been there since I was a kid. We were in the city for a few hours, and I loved every second of it! Most fun though, was walking the Brooklyn bridge, from the Brooklyn side to Manhattan. Something that really surprised me was my fitness ability, I expected to have to stop multiple times and catch my breath or use my inhaler, or even say I needed to turn around. But I didn’t have to at all! The work I have been doing has paid off much more than I knew. It was a huge sense of accomplishment, and I also fell in love with New York city, so much so that it is on my list as far as where I want to live when I start my career in broadcast journalism/ communications. Any ways, enough babling, here are some photos!

That right there is the incredible woman I am traveling with, named Pam!

So after out brief stint in New York, we made our way back to JFK and then it was on to Dublin. That flight wasn’t bad, I just had an inability to sleep, every time I tried I burst into a coughing fit. So I spent the flight watching movies that didn’t necessarily need most of my brain to function, because at this point I was running on 1 hour of sleep and my brain couldn’t function past the necessity of John Tucker Must Die and Mean Girls. And just like that, we arrived! We stepped off the plane, into a lashing 48 degree rainstorm. Yay Dublin! I am actually very excited to be here, just running on a lack of sleep isn’t something I’m used to so my sarcasm seems to be pretty strong today. Anyways, we got to Issacs Backpackers Hostel this morning about 6 am and I made the decision to nap in the basement on a surprisingly comfortable couch, se as our check in isn’t available till 2pm, and here we are, 11:25 am, Dublin time. Somewhat rested, but ready to explore, Ill update you soon!
