“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.” – St. Augustine

Hey everyone!

I have some exciting news to share with you all!

This Sunday I am leaving for a 2 week trip to England! I have known about this for months, but due to outside circumstances I was unsure if it was going to happen. I have literally been biting my tongue with every post because this is such a big deal for me and it’s something I have wanted to share with all of you! I can officially say that I am leaving on the 15th, traveling through southern England until the 29th!

That being said I want to introduce you to my partner in crime! This is Pam, she is an amazing woman and one of my best friends! She has known my family and I since I was a kid and I am lucky to have her as a IMG_2431travel companion. If you have been reading my blog for a while you would have known that I traveled to England with her last year for 3 weeks and had an AMAZING time. That trip was literally life changing! We went to Ireland, Scotland, Wales and a good portion of England, mostly the northern part. A few months ago we decided we wanted to go back and cover the rest! We will be traveling to places like Bath (one of my favorite cities ever) Southampton, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Heartland Peninsula, Plymouth and more! We will be staying in hostels most of the time and I actually can’t wait, I am one of those weird people who LOVES staying in hostels!

You may be wondering what this means for my food program…NOTHING!  On Wednesday I will be picking up 2 weeks worth of shakes and bars to take with me! This is probably going to be the most difficult thing I have done so far, but I know I can do it. Everyone has said that the food in England is bad so it wont be to hard, little do they know, I spent 3 weeks eating English food and I love it! So yes this is going to be a challenge, but I am up for it! Last year we sometimes took 20,000+ steps a day, so I cant wait to see what kind of adventures and fitness improvement this trip will bring!

Also regarding my posting schedule, I will still be here on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It is possible that I may post more than that, just depending on what my access to internet is! I will also be vlogging and putting up videos as frequently as possible, so make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel here to see my adventures and well as read about them!

Lastly I know a have some UK readers so if you have any suggestions of places to visit let me know in the comments below!

See you on Wednesday!

  1. Amazing news and apparently we (the UK) may be in for the highest temperatures in 15 years this month! So don’t forget your sun cream! As for the food comments – pah – they’ve obviously not been to the right places! Although fish and chips are much better on the east coast IMHO! You’ll love it 🛫

  3. Have a GREAT time! There is a shop that I love in Frome and would love to be able to visit – Mary Kilvert. She is an illustrated and makes these adorable hand-felted sheep that I collect. Don’t forget to indulge in something – doesn’t have to be food – just something special along the way. You deserve it!

  4. some of my all time most favorite travels have been in England. I LOVE it there! I went on a road trip with two friends years ago, and I still remember it fondly. Traveling with people who have the same interests as you is oh so fun 🙂 We are all history geeks, and I think we must have visited every monastery ruin and half of all the roman remains on our way *lol*
I LOVED Bath as well. Did you go to The Jane Austen Center? I love Jane Austen – so I did 🙂

    1. I love traveling, and while I have only traveled as an adult in England, I LOVE it!

I love visiting all the historical sites and old castles! We did you to the Jane Austen center and had tea in her old bedroom!
